The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) Public Relations Office has received six laptops and four iPads from migration and human rights advocate Mr. Yaya Sonko, representing the European Center for Jobs, Migration, and Development in Stuttgart, Germany.

The equipment will strengthen GID’s communication efforts and raise awareness on the risks of irregular migration by delivering timely, accurate information to the public and key stakeholders.

During the presentation, Mr. Sonko commended GID’s work in interceptions and transparent data-sharing. Accepting the donation, Deputy Director General Mrs. Hulay Jallow Cham expressed deep gratitude, emphasizing how the tools will assist in expanding the PR Unit and supporting safer migration pathways across The Gambia. 🇬🇲
